Hillary Clinton: I can bring U.S. together

Let's look at it this way...the folks that hate Hillary the most.......would never vote for any democrat or anyone else that wasn't in lockstep with their right wing bible thumping philosophy of my way or the highway type of thinking........andy

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., said her recent political battles have made her the ideal presidential candidate to bring the United States together.

The candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination said that while her critics have tabbed her as too polarizing to complete such a task, she believes her political past is exactly what makes her the perfect bipartisan candidate for the U.S. presidency, The Washington Post said Wednesday.

"I actually think that in a way, the fact that I've been through so much incoming fire all these years is an advantage," she said.

"It's been my observation that when you're attacked continually in American politics, you either give up or get disoriented or you either lose or leave," she added, "or you persevere and show your resilience."

Clinton has also been busy attempting to disprove potential criticisms that she has not been active during her years in the U.S. Congress, The Hill reported.

During this year alone, the presidential hopeful has introduced 74 stand-alone bills in Congress.

That number represents more than any other U.S. senator and the bills have included a wide variety of policy matters, the newspaper said.
